Cohabitant. A cohabitant is a person the deceased lived with at the time of death and who, upon confirmation from the national population register, can document that the cohabitation relationship has existed for the last two years, or who has the same residence and joint children with an employee.

Cohabitant. Two unrelated adult persons living together for a substantial period of time, resulting in some permanency of relationship. Factors that may determine whether persons are cohabiting include, but are not limited to, all of the following:

The person will notwithstanding the above not be regarded as a cohabitant if there, at the time of death, existed factual circumstances deterring the two from entering into legal marriage, or if it must be regarded as evident that separation had been taken out at an earlier point in time.
