COB a. The goal of NATIONAL'S COB Department is to maximize the collection of COB dollars from other insurance carriers. It is the responsibility of the COB department to actively pursue COB investigation, confirmation, and the timely collection of all recoverable monies. Those retrievable dollars are viewed as incremental dollars ultimately contributing to the bottom line of a client's prescription drug program. The function of the COB department is to work in concert with the client in minimizing the cost of the administration of the client's prescription drug program.
