CO-OP STUDENTS. L46:01 Should a strike or lock out involving employees occur, co-op students shall be immediately removed from workplace where employees perform their job functions.
CO-OP STUDENTS. 34.01 At the Union’s request, the Board agrees to share with the President of the Bargaining Unit, co-op student placements which occur within the school office(s)/work locations where the Bargaining Unit employees are employed.
CO-OP STUDENTS. For the benefit of supporting college technical trainees (CO‐OP students) to develop their skills base in a practical setting, the Company shall have the opportunity to hire no more than five (5) CO‐OP students to work with our skilled trades journeymen. The following conditions shall apply to all CO‐OP students:

The Union shall be notified prior to co-op students being placed and shall not be used to replace bargaining unit employees
CO-OP STUDENTS i. The Employer may hire up to two (2) students to work at the Facilities each semester during the Term of this Agreement. The Employer may hire more than the two (2) student maximum per semester, provided that the Bargaining Unit and the Employer agree to increase such maximum for the semester being requested.

CO-OP STUDENTS. No member of the Union shall be laid off or suffer a reduction or a change in normally scheduled hours of work as a result of the use of a co-op student.
CO-OP STUDENTS. During the 2001 collective bargaining the Company and the Union discussed the role of co-op students: and the parties now agree that any assignments by the Company to these students will not involve performing bargaining unit work.
CO-OP STUDENTS. It is understood that the company engages in the practice of co-op students. However at no time will a co-op student replace a union member. Should the company wish to employ that student at the end of their co-op they will follow the regular hiring procedure and those employees will be considered for membership
