CLEANING CULVERTS. On the following road, Purchaser shall clean the inlets and outlets of all culverts and shall obtain written approval from the Contract Administrator before timber haul. Road Stations HM-2100 0+00 to 16+00 SECTION 3 – CLEARING, GRUBBING, AND DISPOSAL 3-1 BRUSHING On the following road, Purchaser shall cut vegetative material up to 4 inches in diameter, including limbs, as shown on the ROADSIDE BRUSHING DETAIL. Brushing must be achieved by manual or mechanical cutting of brush, trees, and branches. Root systems and stumps of cut vegetation may not be disturbed unless directed by the Contract Administrator. Purchaser shall remove brushing debris from the road surface, ditchlines, and culvert inlets and outlets. Road Stations HM-2100 0+00 to 16+00 3-5 CLEARING Purchaser shall fall all vegetative material larger than 2 inches DBH or over 4 feet high between the marked right-of-way boundaries, or if not marked in the field, between the clearing limits specified on the TYPICAL SECTION SHEET. Clearing must be completed before starting excavation and embankment.
CLEANING CULVERTS a. The County will thaw frozen culvert pipes as in the past. The Town’s cooperation in clearing snow from critical culvert pipes and ditches will be needed to prevent washouts during a thaw.
