marked by a tradesman.\n(b) Definitions applying to this grade of worker prior to 5th October 1990: \u2022 Trades Assistant \u2022 Lines Assistant \u2022 Cable Jointers Mate/Assistant \u2022 Line Clearance Operator\n(c) RW 2\n(i) Refinery Worker 2 is an Employee who works under direction, may be required to perform the work of a Refinery Worker 1; and\n(ii) Without limiting the scope of work the Employee may perform the work described below to the level of the Employee\u2019s training;\n(A) Is engaged in store work; or\n(B) Is qualified and required to drive or operate the Employer\u2019s vehicles, machinery, plant or equipment incidental to the Employee\u2019s primary task or function; or\n(C) Inspects and tests fire alarm or security alarm equipment; or\n(iii) Under the supervision of a tradesperson or electronics service person;\n(A) Installs radio, communications and related equipment including antenna; or\n(B) Installs fire alarm or security alarm equipment; or\n(C) Installs data and communications cabling:\n(iv) Provided that this person shall not undertake tasks requiring the skills of a tradesperson.\n(d) RW 3\n(i) Refinery Worker 3 is an Employee who;\n(ii) Has worked for not less than one year in the industry or holds the equivalent experience and without limiting the scope of the work and to the level of the Employee\u2019s training is an Employee who is accredited to perform;\n(A) Scaffolding or rigging; or\n(B) Is directly in charge of an electrical store and responsible for materials, ordering and purchasing; or\n(C) Has worked for not less than one year as a Refinery Worker 3 or has the equivalent experience in the installation of electronics equipment and who, under the minimum supervision of a tradesperson or electronics serviceperson:\n(1) Installs radio, communications and related equipment handling including antenna; or\n(2) Installs fire alarm or security alarm equipment; or\n(3) Installs, terminates and tests data and communication cabling; or\n(4) Inspects and tests fire alarms or security alarm equipment involving a range of responsibility beyond that of a Grade 3 electrical worker and works without assistance and supervision; or\n(iii) provided that this person shall not undertake tasks requiring the skills of a tradesperson.\n(iv) Included in this grade is the work of purchasing clerk/store person and electronic equipment installer level 2.\n(v) Definitions applying to this grade of worker prior to 5 October 1990. \u2022 Alarm/security tester grade 2 \u2022 Restricted B class licensed electrical worker \u2022 Purchasing clerk/store person\n(e) RW 4\n(i) Refinery Worker 4 is employed to use the skills acquired through the training specified below and is an Employee who:\n(A) Holds a trade certificate or tradesperson\u2019s rights certificate, in an electrical trade: or\n(B) Has successfully completed an appropriate trade course or who has otherwise reached an equivalent standard of skills and knowledge in communications/electronics; or\n(C) Has successfully completed an appropriate instrumentation trade course; or\n(D) Holds an appropriate electrical/refrigeration/air conditioning trade certificate; or\n(E) Has successfully completed an appropriate trade course in linework or cable jointing or has otherwise reached an equivalent standard of skills and knowledge.\n(ii) Included in this grade is the work of: \u2022 Electrical Tradesperson level 1 \u2022 Electronic/Communications serviceperson level 1 \u2022 Instrument Tradesperson level 1 \u2022 Refrigeration/Air conditioning tradesperson level 1 \u2022 Linesperson/Cable jointer level 1\n(iii) Definitions applying to this grade of worker prior to 5th October 1990: \u2022 Cable jointer \u2022 Electrical mechanic \u2022 Electrical fitter \u2022 Linesman tradesperson \u2022 Alarm security tester grade 3 \u2022 Alarm security technician grade 1 \u2022 Electronic serviceperson grade 1 \u2022 Television/radio/electronic serviceperson grade 1 \u2022 Appliance serviceperson \u2022 Refrigeration mechanic or serviceperson class 1\n(f) RW 5\n(i) Has successfully completed 2 appropriate training between the Parties; or\n(B) Acquired equivalent standard of skills as defined in 35.8(f)(i) hereof as agreed between the Parties through other means including a minimum of one years experience as a Refiner Worker 4; or\n(C) Is employed to use the skills acquired through the training or experience specified.\n(ii) Has also completed modules NUEH001, NUEH002, and NUEH003 of the Nationally However, when assigning a classification to an employee, or when reclassifying an employee, this needs to be done by reference to the specific characteristics of the Level. For example, whilst shorthand is first specifically mentioned in Level 2 (100wpm) in terms of typical duties/skills, it does not mean that as soon as an employee performs any shorthand that they automatically become Level 2.
