City Residents. Commencing in calendar year 2006 and continuing for not less than five (5) years, Hospital shall hire in each calendar year no less than 100 residents of the City of New Haven for full-time positions with Hospital. Hospital shall direct its recruiting efforts for such positions so as to maximize the number of positions filled by residents of the neighborhoods surrounding Hospital’s campus, to the extent feasible. As part of this effort, Hospital shall establish a comprehensive training program for residents through a collaborative effort that includes institutional and organizational partners, such as educational institutions of higher learning and work force development organizations.
