CIAP Clause Samples
The CIAP (Construction Industry Arbitration Panel) clause establishes a mechanism for resolving disputes arising from construction contracts through arbitration rather than litigation. Typically, this clause specifies that any disagreements between the parties will be referred to the CIAP, which will appoint arbitrators and oversee the arbitration process according to its rules. By providing a clear and specialized forum for dispute resolution, the CIAP clause helps ensure that conflicts are handled efficiently and by experts familiar with construction industry practices, thereby reducing delays and legal costs.
