Christmas Shutdown. The Employer shall notify all bargaining unit employees by November 1st, of each calendar year as to the designated dates for Christmas Shutdown. Employees shall have the following options:
Christmas Shutdown. All Plan offices will be closed from December 24th at 1:00 p.m. to January 1st inclusive. Any employee required to work during this time shall be compensated at the rate of double time.
Christmas Shutdown. The parties agree to make modifications to applicable provisions of the Agreement in order to permit employees to work, in advance and without overtime premiums, time equivalent to and instead of the normal working days between the afternoon of Christmas Eve and New Year's Day, should work requirements permit. The conditions for this arrangement will be determined by management in consultation with the Society.
Christmas Shutdown. A. The Company will schedule a Christmas Shutdown, except for employees who are required to work, beginning on Christmas Eve Day (or the day observed as the Christmas Eve Day holiday) and continuing through New Year's Day (or the day observed as the New Year's Day holiday). Employees on the active payroll on 1 December of the year of the shutdown or employees who return to work after 1 December and who are not scheduled to work during this period and who had one (1) year or more of continuous employment as of 1 December will be compensated for the three (3) regular workdays during this period which are not observed as holidays.

Christmas Shutdown. If the Company decides to close the plant for up to five (5) working days, not including statutory holidays, during the Christmas holiday season, the Company shall post thirty (30) days notice on the Shop Bulletin Board announcing the dates on which such shutdown shall be. Preference for any work available during this period shall be given, in order of seniority, to those who normally perform such work, except for work available in the job classification of Material Handler or Sweeper, which shall be offered to all employees, based on plant seniority, but that the rate of pay shall be the rate of pay of the work performed.
Christmas Shutdown. Each year at Christmas time the business may shut down for a period of time. This allows employees to have a long break and also provides an opportunity to conduct maintenance activity or improvements during this time. During such closedown, employees agree to take annual leave, Long Service Leave or access TOIL credits if available. If none of these provisions are available to the employee, unpaid leave will be granted. The Company will provide employees with no less than 6 weeks notice of proposed shutdown dates associated with Christmas Shutdown.
Christmas Shutdown. Subject to operational requirements and/or preventative maintenance requirements, employees may be required to take annual leave during the Christmas/New Year shutdown period. Employees recognise that there may be limits on the availability of annual leave during this period. Where Employees are required to take annual leave, two weeks notice shall be given.
