Children Aged Three Through Five. 1. For a child with a disability aged three through five, an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) may serve as the child’s IEP if using that plan is agreed to by the School District and the Parent(s). If the School District proposes to use an IFSP, it shall:
a. Provide a detailed explanation of the differences between an IFSP and an IEP to the Parents(s);
b. Obtain informed, written parental consent for the use of an IFSP; and
c. Ensure that the IFSP is developed in accordance with IEP requirements.
