Check Off Provisions. Upon receipt of voluntary written authorization from any employee in the form to be provided by the Union, the Company will deduct from the earnings of said employee his monthly membership dues in the Union under the following procedure: The greater amount of Five Dollars or an amount equal to 1.45% of the employee's total earnings in the immediately prior month not to exceed two and one-half times an employee's average hourly earnings in the immediate prior month. Such authorization may be in the following form: CHECK-OFF AUTHORIZATION For the United Steelworkers Company ________________________________________ Plant ____________________________________________ Date , 20______ Pursuant to this authorization and assignment, please deduct from my pay each month, while I am in employment within the collective bargaining unit in the Company, monthly dues, assessments and (if owing by me) an initiation fee each as designated by the Treasurer of the International Union, as my membership dues in said Union. The afore said membership dues shall be remitted promptly by you to the International Treasurer of the United Steelworkers, or its lawful successor at the address which he authorizes, in writing, for that purpose. The assignment and authorization shall be effective and cannot be canceled for a period of one (1) year from the date appearing above or until the termination date of the current collective bargaining agreement between the Company and the Union, whichever occurs sooner. I hereby voluntarily authorize you to continue the above authorization and assignment in effect after the expiration of the shorter of the periods above specified, for further successive periods of one (1) year from such date. I agree that this authorization and assignment shall become effective and cannot be canceled by me during any such years, but that I may cancel and revoke by giving to the appropriate management representative of the plant in which I am then employed, an individual written notice signed by me and which shall be postmarked or received by the Company within fifteen days following the expiration of any such year or within the fifteen days following the termination date of any collective bargaining agreement between the Company and the Union covering my employment if such date shall occur within one of such annual periods. Check Off Provisions. The employer shall deduct from every employee any dues, initiation fees or assessments levied by the Union on its members. The Union shall inform the Employer, in writing, of the authorized deductions to be made. An employee shall, as a condition of continued employment, complete an authorization form providing for the deduction from an employee’s monthly wages or salary, the amount of the regular monthly dues payable to the union by a member of the Union.
Check Off Provisions. The Employer agrees to deduct the Union membership initiation fee, assessments, and, each pay period, dues from the pay of those employees who individually request in writing that such deductions be made. The amounts to be deducted shall be certified to the Employer in writing by the Treasurer of the Union, and the aggregate deductions of all employees shall be remitted together with an itemized statement to the Treasurer of the Union, each Monday after such deductions are made. Termination of payroll deduction of Union dues shall be made only by written request to the Union and Employer by the member, at least thirty (30) days in advance of the desired termination date. Cards for the authorization for payroll deduction shall be provided by the Union. The pledge on said card shall not conflict with any provisions of this Agreement or any applicable provisions of the State law.
Check Off Provisions. The Employer will check off dues, initiation fees, assessments for any part-time employees who sign a voluntary assignment and remit same to the Local Union. The Employer agrees to recommend to all part-time employees that they become members of the Local Union and maintain such membership during the life of this Agreement since they are receiving the benefits of this Agreement.   • Prohibition on Transfers, Other Actions Stockholder hereby represents, warrants, covenants and agrees not to, during the Restricted Period, directly or indirectly, in one or a series of related transactions: (i) Transfer or offer, agree, commit or consent to Transfer any of the Covered Shares or any right, title or interest (including voting, economic or otherwise) therein, unless such Transfer is a Permitted Transfer; (ii) enter into any Contract, arrangement or understanding with any Person, or take any other action or omit to take any action, that violates or conflicts with (or could reasonably be expected to conflict with or violate) Stockholder’s covenants and obligations under this Agreement; or (iii) take any action or omit to take any action that would restrict (or could reasonably be expected to restrict) Stockholder’s legal power, authority and right to comply with and perform its covenants and obligations under this Agreement or make any of its representations or warranties contained in this Agreement untrue or incorrect, nor has Stockholder done any of the foregoing.   • OTHER PROVISIONS RELATING TO RIGHTS OF HOLDERS OF WARRANT CERTIFICATES

  • Certain Provisions If the operation of any provision of this Agreement would contravene the provisions of applicable law, or would result in the imposition of general liability on any Limited Partner or Special Limited Partner, such provisions shall be void and ineffectual.

  • Statutory Provisions Any statutory or regulatory reference in this Agreement shall include a reference to any successor to such statute or regulation and/or revision thereof.

(4) In the event of the Contractor's noncompliance with these EEO provisions, the City may cancel, terminate, or suspend this contract, in whole or in part, and the City may declare the Contractor ineligible for further City contracts. (5) Unless exempted by the City Council of the City of Durham, the Contractor shall include these EEO provisions in every purchase order for goods to be used in performing this contract and in every subcontract related to this contract so that these EEO provisions will be binding upon such subcontractors and vendors.

  • Other Provisions Relating to Rights of Holders of Warrants 7.1 No Rights as Stockholder. A Warrant does not entitle the Registered Holder thereof to any of the rights of a stockholder of the Company, including, without limitation, the right to receive dividends, or other distributions, exercise any preemptive rights to vote or to consent or to receive notice as stockholders in respect of the meetings of stockholders or the election of directors of the Company or any other matter.
