Change in PERS Regulations. In the event PERS requires additional employer payment in excess of the amounts stated in Section 7.1.2, the City shall not be bound by any obligation under Section 7.1.2, but rather the parties shall meet and confer regarding restructuring the provisions of Section 7.1.2 provided that, for a reasonable time period to allow for meeting and conferring, the City shall continue the benefits under Section 7.1.2.
