Certification and Compliance. 1. Where specified, furnish certification of compliance for products specified to a recognized standard or code prior to the use of such products in the work. a. Engineer may permit use of certain materials or assemblies prior to sampling and testing if accompanied by a certification of compliance. b. Certifications shall be signed by the manufacturer of the product; state that the components involved comply in all respects with the requirements of the specifications. c. Furnish certification of compliance with each lot delivered to the jobsite and clearly identify the lot so certified. 2. Products used on the basis of a certification of compliance may be sampled and tested at any time. The fact that a product is used on the basis of a certification of compliance shall not relieve Contractor of responsibility for incorporating products in the work, which conforms to requirements of the Contract Documents. Products not conforming to such requirements will be subject to rejection whether in-place or not. 3. Engineer reserves the right to refuse permission for use of products on the basis of a certification of compliance.
