CERTIFICATES FOR PAYMENT. 9.4.1 The Architect will, within seven days after the receipt of the Contractor's completed Application for Payment, either issue a Certificate for Payment to the State, with a copy to the Contractor, for such amount as the Architect determines is properly due, or notify the Contractor in writing his or her reasons for withholding a Certificate as provided in Subparagraph 9.6.1
CERTIFICATES FOR PAYMENT. The Owner shall, within seven days after receipt of the Design-Builder’s Application for Payment, issue to the Design-Builder a Certificate for Payment indicating the amount the Owner determines is properly due, and notify the Design-Builder in writing of the Owner’s reasons for withholding certification in whole or in part as provided in Section 9.5.1.

If certification or notification is not made within such seven day period, the Contractor may, upon seven additional days’ written notice to the Owner and Architect, stop the Work until payment of the amount owing has been received. The Contract Time and the Contract Sum shall be equitably adjusted due to the delay.

District shall review the Contractor’s Application for Payment within a reasonable time after receipt not to exceed seven (7) days for the purpose of determining that it is properly submitted. District shall either return the Application for Payment to Contractor with a document setting forth the reasons why the Application for Payment is not proper, or shall issue a Certificate for Payment for the amounts properly due. District’s issuance of a Certificate for Payment is a representation by District, based upon District’s evaluation of the Work and the data comprising the Application for Payment, that Contractor is entitled to payment in the amount certified because the Work has progressed to the point indicated and that the quality of the Work is in accordance with the Contract Documents. District’s approval of the certified Application for Payment is based on Contractor complying with all requirements for a fully complete and valid certified Application for Payment.

The Project Manager will, after receipt of the Contractor's Application for Payment, either issue to the Owner a Certificate for Payment, with a copy to the Contractor, for such amount as the Project Manager determines is properly due, or notify the Contractor and Owner in writing of the Project Manager's reasons for withholding certification in whole or in part.
CERTIFICATES FOR PAYMENT. (a) Applications for Payment must be approved by the Architect/Engineer’s issuance of a Certificate for Payment, confirming that portion, if any, of the Application for Payment that Architect/Engineer has determined to be properly due and payable under this Agreement. In the event that the Architect/Engineer believes payment should be withheld in whole or in part, it will so notify the Owner and Contractor.
CERTIFICATES FOR PAYMENT. The Owner shall, within 15 days after receipt of the Contractor’s Application for Payment for a progress payment, issue to the Contractor a Certificate for Payment indicating the amount the Owner determines is properly due, and notify the Contractor in writing of the Owner’s reasons for withholding certification in whole or in part as provided in Section 9.5.1.
