CAUSE FOR DISCIPLINARY ACTION. The two primary causes for disciplinary action and removal are substandard performance and misconduct.

"Good cause" is defined as any facts which, based on relevant circumstances, may be reasonably relied on by the appointing authority in the exercise of reasonable discretion as a basis for disciplinary action. CAUSE FOR DISCIPLINARY ACTION. The District may suspend, suspend without pay, demote or discharge an employee for just cause.
CAUSE FOR DISCIPLINARY ACTION. All disciplinary actions for employees who have successfully completed their initial trial service period shall be for cause. An employee serving an initial trial service period may be subject to any of the above disciplinary actions or termination without notice of cause or right of appeal, provided that such employee be given a minimum of one (1) day advance notice prior to the discipline taking effect. An employee serving a promotional trial service period may be returned to the previously held position without a right of appeal.
