Common use of CASH PURCHASES Clause in Contracts

CASH PURCHASES. When, in the sole discretion of the Fund, cash purchases of Creation Units of WEBS are available or specified for an Index Series, such purchases shall be effected in essentially the same manner as in-kind purchases thereof. In the case of a cash purchase, the Participant must pay the cash equivalent of the Deposit Securities it would otherwise be required to provide through an in-kind purchase, plus the same Cash Component required to be paid by an in-kind purchaser. In addition, to offset the Fund's brokerage and other transaction costs associated with using the cash to purchase the requisite Deposit Securities, the Participant must pay a fixed purchase transaction fee, plus an additional variable charge for cash purchases, which is expressed as a percentage of the value of the Deposit Securities. The transaction fees for in-kind and cash purchases of Creation Units of WEBS are described in the Prospectus.
