Career. The Employer and the Union recognize the problems created by the lack of career advancement opportunities and promotions through the classification series, and jointly agree to work through the Professional Committees to enhance career advancement and promotional opportunities. The parties agree that the concept of career ladders is important in recruiting and retaining professional staff, and in the delivery of services to the citizens of the State.
