Candidate for Election. The Employer recognizes the right of an employee to participate in public affairs. Therefore, upon written request, the Employer shall subject to applicable legislation, leave of absence without pay and without loss of seniority so the employee may be a candidate in a Federal, Provincial, or Municipal election.
