Callout Provisions. (a) An employee who is called out for an emergency situation, after having completed their normal shift, shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours' pay at straight-time rates until they have worked in excess of eight (8) hours (in total) in that day, at which point overtime rates will apply. (b) When overtime is worked, there shall be an elapsed time of eight (8) hours between the end of the overtime and the time the employee reports for duty on the next regular shift. Should the employee be required to commence work on the next shift without receiving the eight (8) hours free from work, then that portion of the shift that falls within the eight (8) hour period shall be compensated at overtime rates. (c) If an employee is called out more than once in a day, each callout shall be for a separate four (4) hour minimum period if the subsequent callout is made after the initial four (4) hour period(s) has lapsed.
