Common use of By the Guild Clause in Contracts

By the Guild. Any grievance lodged by an Employee or the Guild shall be presented to the Master or person designated for that purpose by the Company. The maximum time for instituting a Grievance concerning demotion, suspension or dismissal shall be thirty (30) days from the date of demotion, suspension or dismissal. A letter stating the reasons for the demotion, suspension or dismissal shall be given to the Employee concerned, if he requests it. The maximum time for instituting a Grievance concerning issues other than those described above shall be sixty (60) days. Grievances shall be processed in the following manner:
