Buy American Provisions. Applies to contracts involving all food (including spices, tea, coffee, etc.) acquisitions using nonprofit food service account funds and the use, or processing, of substitutable USDA donated foods. Contracts must contain provisions meeting the requirements of the “Buy-American Provisions, Policy Memorandums 210.21- 14 and 220.17-01.” Determination to purchase non-American products will be done by MAHS consensus based on availability or being cost prohibitive.
