Bus Equipment. Drivers shall be responsible for the security of fire extinguishers, flares, and first aid kits in their assigned bus.
Bus Equipment. The PROJECT service will utilize Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant transit buses suitable for freeway operations. If Santa ▇▇▇▇▇ utilizes an existing bus from another agency, possession of the vehicle title shall be transferred to Santa ▇▇▇▇▇. If Santa ▇▇▇▇▇ purchases a new bus, it shall be registered to Santa ▇▇▇▇▇, for the specific use of the PROJECT. Santa ▇▇▇▇▇ shall use the Capital Reserve to purchase buses. If additional funds are required, the PARTIES shall equally share the net costs pursuant to Sections 8, 9, and 10 of this MOU. If this Agreement is terminated and the PROJECT is discontinued, then the PROJECT buses shall be sold by the Lead Agency, and all proceeds from the sale shall be equally split among the current PARTIES of the PROJECT. If any bus is sold prior to the termination of this Agreement, all proceeds from the sale shall be directed to the Capital Reserve for future bus purchase and/or required for bus infrastructure. If a simple majority of the PARTIES agree a Capital Reserve is not needed, the proceeds shall be equally split among the PARTIES of the PROJECT. If another PARTY becomes Lead Agency, then title to PROJECT’s vehicles and insurance shall be transferred to new Lead Agency.
Bus Equipment. The service will utilize handicapped-accessible vehicles suitable for freeway operations and has a capacity of 30 passengers. If an existing bus is utilized for service, it shall remain in possession of the original owner. Should a new bus be purchased for the service, the bus shall be registered under the City of Lompoc (COLT), for the specific use of service between Lompoc, Buellton and Solvang. Should the bus be surplused or sold as a result of termination of the MOU, all proceeds from the sale shall be equally split among the participants.

Lompoc shall utilize a bus from its COLT fleet for the operation of the Service. A projected replacement service life for that bus shall be five (5) years at which time the contributions from the Parties shall be used to purchase a bus.

For any Equipment, notwithstanding any reference herein to a particular model number or version, Provider shall provide the current or most recent model/release of the item at the time of delivery. Upon prior written approval of County Contract Administrator, Provider may substitute any Equipment listed above with substitute equipment of equal or better quality and functionality. Provider shall deliver spare parts as may be ordered by County (whether manufactured by Provider or another commercial source) in accordance with the procedures set forth in Exhibit B. Following implementation, for the duration of the Agreement: • Provider agrees to make available and provide such parts, components, devices and/or assemblies used in the equipment and which are designed, made or otherwise controlled by the Provider for a period of not less than ten (10) years from the date of equipment installation. • For commercial parts purchased by Provider from commercial sources and over which the Provider has no control, Provider agrees to monitor the availability of such parts. If a part is to be discontinued and no longer available from the original source, Provider shall notify BCT not less than six (6) months prior to the date of discontinuance to enable BCT to procure an adequate supply of the discontinued part.

Subject to the availability of the mechanic(s) to install same, all pupil transportation vehicles not presently so equipped will be equipped with left and right side windshield washers and left and right windshield defrosters. 2. All buses shall be equipped with heaters on the right and left sides. Furthermore, all buses shall be equipped with A.M. radios. 3. Cleaning Equipment will be provided for cleaning the buses.
