Bumping Procedure for Staff Nurses. If the University of Toledo determines that layoffs or job abolishments are necessary, the University of Toledo shall determine from which nursing units and shift the layoffs or abolishments shall be required. Once the University of Toledo has made the above decision, those nurses affected may exercise their rights to bump other less senior nurses subject to the restrictions specified in Sections 3, 4 and 5 of this article.
