Budget Limitations. 2.12.1 The Design Professional understands and acknowledges that the Owner has established a construction budget for the project. The Design Professional agrees to design the project so that the cost of construction shall not exceed the construction budget. The budget shall be reviewed at each stage of preparation of drawings and the Design Professional shall rely on the CM's review of budget figures. If the CM's proposed GMP is in excess of the budget:
