Birthday Holiday. If a member's birthday falls on the day celebrated as another of the holidays mentioned in Section 18.1, the member shall be granted and compensated for one (1) additional holiday for the member's birthday.
Birthday Holiday. A. Employees will be given holiday pay for any observed holiday that they are scheduled to work. Any employee who receives holiday pay will receive an amount of holiday pay that is equivalent to the individual employee’s scheduled hours of work. If an employee is not scheduled to work on the day where the holiday falls, they will receive five (5) hours holiday pay.
Birthday Holiday. There shall be additional annual day of vacation, which will normally be taken on the employee's birthday. The parties agree that an alternate day may be determined by the appointing authority after due consideration of employee convenience and administrative requirements.
Birthday Holiday. Birthday holidays shall be considered scheduled days off for all purposes, except that an Operator requesting to work the Operator’s assignment for that day shall be paid the Operator’s regular wage rate for working that day. An Operator requesting to work their assignment may elect to have eight (8) hours added to the Operator’s Annual Leave balance or be paid their eight (8) hour holiday pay. An Operator must make the request in writing by 10:00am on the day prior to the day requested.
Birthday Holiday. Each employee shall receive one (1) day pay at his/her regular rate of pay (for assigned route time) as a birthday holiday during their birth month. Birthdays falling in July will be paid on the August Training paycheck. Any employee hired on or after July 1, 2012, must first complete the probationary period (Article VI, Section C) in order to be eligible for the birthday holiday.
Birthday Holiday. 19.1 Effective January 1, 2017, employees are eligible for one additional paid day off per year – a Birthday Holiday. Should an employee’s birthday fall on a weekend or a paid holiday as outlined in 15.1, or if the employee is unable to take their birthday off due to business needs, as far as possible, employees will be granted their choice of a day off in lieu, but the right to determine the day off in lieu is reserved by the Company in order to ensure efficient operations.
Birthday Holiday. An employee’s birthday shall be observed on a workday mutually agreed to by the employee and Employer. Employees who ask to celebrate their birthday holiday during the month in which it falls, will not be unreasonably denied.
Birthday Holiday. Each employee shall have a holiday on their birthday except for new hire employees during initial training. .3 Floating Holidays
Birthday Holiday. An employee shall receive his/her birthday off as a holiday. If the appointing authority requires the employee to work on his/her birthday, or if the birthday falls during the employee's absence on paid leave, or on a holiday, the employee shall receive the equivalent of one-tenth (1/10th) the number of hours in that employee's standard work period. A birthday occurring on a Saturday shall be taken on the preceding Friday. A birthday occurring on a Sunday shall be taken on the following Monday. If the needs of the department require the employee to work, the employee shall have the choice of another day approved by the appointing authority, on which to observe the birthday holiday.
Birthday Holiday. The birthday holiday will be scheduled at a time which is mutually agreeable to the bargaining unit employee and the immediate supervisor.
