BIM: Building Information Modeling Clause Samples
BIM: Building Information Modeling. The development of a computer-based parametric model of a project and from this model then extracting information to convey a project (a construction document package). This differs from a CAD-based approach wherein individual drawings are created to collectively convey a project. Colloquially, BIM is taken to mean Autodesk’s Revit or similar software by others.
BIM: Building Information Modeling. This is the process of generating and managing a three dimensional representation file of the project with integral specification data resulting in a Building Information Model that can be linked, networked or exchanged.
