Eligibility will begin on the first of the month following thirty days of employment for all benefit eligible employees who elect to participate in one of the Metro plans. Prorated insurance will be available to employees who work thirty (30) hours a week or more during a twelve month (12) measurement period. Their premium share will be calculated based on the total cost of the health insurance premium for the plan selected by the employee, less the employee’s FTE status (based on average weekly hours) multiplied by Metro’s full-time employee premium portion for that plan.
