Basis of Design Report. (BODR) Following the Alternatives Analysis, prior to commencing the design, The Design/Builder’s Team will establish the design criteria for the Project. The criteria will be reviewed by and discussed with The City of Bend. The mutually agreed upon design criteria will be documented in a Basis of Design Report (BODR). The BODR will include: • Hydraulic Profile • Influent Flow Control Structure site location • Force main alignment including identification of trenchless sections • Code and standard reference requirements • Structural design criteria • Anticipated electrical service and required coordination with utility company • A list of required permits and ROW/Easement acquisition • Schedule for design through GMP Level documents TASK 3 – TECHNICAL EXHIBITS For the selected Influent Flow Control Structure configuration and Force Main alignment (10,500 linear feet), and upon written authorization from The Design/Builder will prepare Technical Exhibits to facilitate development of GMP. The Technical Exhibits will consist of drawings prepared in AutoCad 2016 (2D format) and specifications prepared in Microsoft Word. • The Sheet List Table provides the list of drawings included in this scope of work. • Technical Specifications sections will include: concrete mix design; pipeline material; trenchless construction; and pumps (mechanical and related electrical specifications). Other material and requirements will be noted in the drawings. • Pipeline drawings will include plan and profiles at 1-inch equals 40 feet scale horizontally and 1-inch equals 4 feet vertically. • City standard specifications and details will be incorporated as necessary. • XxXxxxxx Xxxxxx, as a subconsultant to The Design/Builder, will provide design for the trenchless segments • The Design/Builder will prepare Traffic Control plans (total 3 sheets)
Basis of Design Report. Based on the evaluation from Task 3, Grayling will prepare a Basis of Design report for City review and comment. The report will summarize the recommendations for corrosion control and identify the basis for final design which will include recommended chemicals and dosages. An engineer’s opinion of construction cost will be included. A final version of the report incorporating City review comments will be stamped and signed by a professional engineer licensed in the State of Washington. Assumptions ● Improvements will be located within the existing Xxxxxxxx Well building. A building addition is not anticipated. ● The cost estimate will assume improvements will be completed by City staff. Deliverables ● Draft Basis of Design Report in electronic (PDF) format. ● Final Basis of Design Report in electronic (PDF) format.
Basis of Design Report. The preliminary design effort will include engineering calculations and the development of cost estimates. The preliminary design will be summarized in a Basis of Design (BOD) report which will be submitted to the Owner for review and comment. The report will also include preliminary drawings of the recommended improvements based on the recommendations in the report. Before publishing the final document, a design workshop will be conducted with the Owner to review the recommendations and preliminary design. This preliminary design submittal shall include a preliminary sheet list and table of contents for the Project Manual which will be delivered to the City electronically. After this design workshop, the Owner shall submit additional comments to Engineer within one week. The BOD report will include the following components and scope items:
Basis of Design Report. Based on a number of considerations including the potential project constraints listed previously herein, environmental impact (Task 1.5), cost (Task 1.6.3), and public input (Task 1.8), and cost, Xxxxxx & Xxxxxxx will describe the alternatives analysis, recommend a preferred improvement plan, prepare the Project Description needed for CEQA, and complete a Basis of Design Report documenting work to date. Preliminary plan and profile sheets utilizing the base mapping prepared as Task 1.3 will be completed to show the recommended project improvement plan, suitable for use in CEQA documents, FEMA coordination efforts (Task 1.7), and future preparation of construction plans and specifications for construction.

Basis of Design Report. The Consultant will prepare a Project Definition Document PDD), outlining the project, design criteria for FTA and other regulatory agencyreview. The PDD will serve as the Basis of Design for submittal to the FTA.
Basis of Design Report. Horizons will prepare a basis of design for the proposed improvements. This basis of design will be submitted to the State of New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) for review and approval prior to proceeding with final design of the individual system components. Horizons will also coordinate with the Town of Xxxxxxx to determine permitting requirements for the pump stations and atmospheric storage tank. Landowner coordination has not been included in this scope, but can be provided.
Basis of Design Report. (30%). Prepare a preliminary basis of design report for submittal to the City. Based on the available data, site investigations, and the City’s design standards, Xxxxxx Engineers will prepare the basis of design report for the Well Site that includes the following: Conceptual well site layout as prepared in Subtask 2.1. Design criteria for pipelines, pumps, structures, and other critical items of equipment. Equipment preferences. Operating and control strategies. Preliminary Process and Instrumentation Control Diagrams (P&IDs). Preliminary construction cost estimate. Estimated site power requirements. Identification of any additional design issues and recommendations. In addition to the above items, the basis of design report will also include a section that provides a new updated well blending plan, including Well 26, for the xxxxx that discharge into the Aqua Fria Transmission Main that require blending to achieve Safe Drinking Water Act MCL for Arsenic. The City will provide the most current well flow data and arsenic level data for each well to be included in the blending plan. Xxxxxx Engineers will submit one (1) pdf digital copy of the Basis of Design Report to the City for review. A review meeting will be conducted with City staff to discuss comments on Design Report. These comments will be incorporated and a final design report will be submitted.
