Barriers Act. The Architectural Barriers Act of 1968 (42 U.S.C. §4151-4157) requires certain Federal and Federally funded buildings and other facilities to be designed, constructed, or altered in accordance with standards that insure accessibility to, and use by, physically handicapped people. A building or facility designed, constructed or altered with funds allocated or reallocated under this part after December 11, 1995, and that meets the definition of "residential structure" as defined in 24 CFR §40.2 or the definition of "building" as defined in 41 CFR §101-19.602(a) is subject to the requirements of the Architectural Barriers Act of 1968 (42 U.S.C. §4151-4157) and shall comply with the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (Appendix A to 24 CFR Part 40 for residential structures, and Appendix A to 41 CFR Part 101-19, Subpart 10119.6, for general type buildings).
Barriers Act. (PL 90‑480), 42 USC 4151, as amended, and the regulations issued or to be issued thereunder, including uniform accessibility standards (24 CFR 40) for public buildings with 15 or more residential units. RSA 275‑C:10 and the New Hampshire Architectural Barrier Free Design Code (Han 100, et. seq.) also applies.
Barriers Act. The Sub-recipient shall ensure that its activities are consistent with requirements of the Architectural Barriers Act. Barriers Act. The SUBRECIPIENT shall meet the requirements, where applicable, of the Architectural Barriers Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act, as set forth in 24 CFR 570.614. A building or facility designed, constructed, or altered with funds allocated or reallocated under CDBG program after December 11, 1995 and that meets the definition of aresidential structure” as defined in 24 CFR Part 40.2 or the definition of a “building” as defined in 41 CFR Part 101-19.602(a) is subject to the requirements of the Architectural Barriers Act of 1968 (42 USC 4151-4157) and shall comply with the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards. The Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA’) (42 USC 12131; 47 USC 155, 210, 218, and 255) requires that the design and construction of facilities for first occupancy after January 26, 1993 must include measures to make them readily accessible and usable by individuals with disabilities. The ADA further requires the removal of architectural barriers and communication barriers that are structural in nature in existing facilities, where such removal is readily achievable—that is, easily accomplishable and able to be carried out without much difficulty or expense.

  • ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Act Any provisions required to be contained in this Agreement by Section 126 and/or Section 130-k or Article 4-A of the New York Real Property Law are hereby incorporated herein, and such provisions shall be in addition to those conferred or imposed by this Agreement; provided, however, that to the extent that such Section 126 and/or 130-k shall not have any effect, and if said Section 126 and/or Section 130-k should at any time be repealed or cease to apply to this Agreement or be construed by judicial decision to be inapplicable, said Section 126 and/or Section 130-k shall cease to have any further effect upon the provisions of this Agreement. In a case of a conflict between the provisions of this Agreement and any mandatory provisions of Article 4-A of the New York Real Property Law, such mandatory provisions of said Article 4-A shall prevail, provided that if said Article 4-A shall not apply to this Agreement, should at any time be repealed, or cease to apply to this Agreement or be construed by judicial decision to be inapplicable, such mandatory provisions of such Article 4-A shall cease to have any further effect upon the provisions of this Agreement.

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act The Employer, the Union, and the Employees recognize they are bound by the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, S.N.S. 1996, c.7, and appropriate federal acts and regulations. Any breach of these obligations may be grieved pursuant to this Agreement.

  • Export Regulations Licensee agrees and accepts that Software may be subject to import and export laws of any country, including those of the European Union and United States (specifically the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). Licensee acknowledges that it is not a citizen, national, or resident of, and is not under control of the governments of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan or Syria and is not otherwise a restricted end-user as defined by applicable export control laws. Further, Licensee acknowledges that it will not download or otherwise export or re-export Software or any related technical data directly or indirectly to the above-mentioned countries or to citizens, nationals, or residents of those countries, or to any other restricted end user or for any restricted end-use.
