BARGAINING UNIT AND RECOGNITION. 2.01 The Employer recognizes the Union as the sole bargaining authority for all employees in its offices within the jurisdiction of the Union, and within the classification of office and clerical workers listed in Appendix "B". Should new classifications be required, wages and duties will be established by the Parties pursuant to Appendix “A” and “B”. It is expressly agreed that this Collective Agreement will not apply to any elected or appointed officer, business agent or representative of the Employer. 2.02 No work that is or could be properly or customarily performed by employees within the bargaining unit covered by this Collective Agreement will be sub-contracted by the Employer to any shop, agency or person outside the bargaining unit unless previously agreed upon by the Employer and the Union. 2.03 The employees will not be asked to make any written statement or verbal contract that may conflict with this Collective Agreement. 2.04 An employee covered by this Collective Agreement will have the right to refuse to cross a legal picket line or handle struck work in connection with a labour dispute. Failure to cross a picket line or to handle struck work will not be considered grounds for disciplinary action or otherwise to be a violation of this Collective Agreement.
