Backing test in motion. For vehicle tested in an out-door facility, the path of the centreline of the vehicle shall follow line CC’ as closely as possible throughout the entire test, from front rear of the vehicle passes line AA’ until the rear end of the vehicle passes line BB’, as shown on figure 1b. Any trailer, which is not readily separable from the towing vehicle, shall be ignored when considering the crossing of the line BB’. The vehicle shall maintain a constant test speed between AA’ and BB’. For a vehicle is tested in an indoor facility, the vehicle shall be located with the front end of the vehicle is on the PP' line, as appropriate. The vehicle shall maintain a constant test speed, vtest during at least 5 seconds. The gear selector shall be placed as specified by the manufacturer for normal rear driving.
