Award of Tenure. The award of tenure shall be selective and conditioned upon positive recommendation through the review process described in Article 4.11 and predicated upon departmental goals consistent with institutional plans and needs. Under the circumstances where a President believes the negative recommendation of a member constitutes an extraordinary injustice, the President may recommend tenure. The probationary period (full-time service prior to the acquisition of tenure) shall not exceed seven (7) years of service in the university provided that all seven (7) years fall within the same ten (10) year period.

Award of Tenure. The appointing authority shall provide for the award of faculty tenure following a probationary period not to exceed nine (9) consecutive quarters, excluding Summer Quarters and approved leaves of absence. Provided, the appointing authority may award or withhold tenure at any time, after it has given reasonable consideration to the recommendations of the appropriate review committee. The probationer shall be deemed to have been awarded tenure if no official notice is sent to the probationer by the last day of the eighth probationary quarter.
Award of Tenure. In the next contract year following the award of tenure, there will be an adjustment up to the Tenured Professor Base Salary specified in Appendix A. Tenure is with the College and resides within a specific academic unit not with the Nebraska State College System. Tenured faculty reassigned to another academic unit at the same College shall retain their tenure in the new academic unit. Tenure to an academic unit is awarded by the President following a review process with recommendations submitted on March 15th by the Academic Vice President. Tenure review will include:
Award of Tenure. (a) To qualify for the award of tenure, a Faculty Member shall have established the effectiveness of his/her teaching and a reasonable expectation of his/her ability to create a lengthy and meritorious record of effective teaching. In addition, depending upon the disciplinary area to which the Faculty Member belongs, he/she shall be expected to show evidence of the development of an independent and productive program of research, scholarship and creative activity leading to a reasonable expectation of his/her ability to demonstrate some combination of maturity of scholarship and professional achievement.
Award of Tenure. 14.07.1 Award of Tenure shall be as provided for Faculty Members in Article 19.04 except that: in Article 19.04.4 Librarian III and IV shall replace Associate Professor and Professor, respectively, and University Librarian shall replace Xxxx, and in Article 19.04.4(c)(i) criteria in Article 14.11 shall replace criteria in Article 12.
