Attendance Policy. In order to maximize learning opportunities, attendance is expected at all college and clinical sessions. Campus laboratory classes are usually demonstrations of essential nursing skills. There is no effective way to “make-up” missed laboratory classes, therefore the instructor may require attendance. For all clinical absences, the student must call the clinical setting a minimum of 30 minutes before the scheduled beginning time of the clinical session that will be missed and leave a message for the appropriate instructor. Any exception to this rule will be noted in writing in the individual course syllabus and green sheet. Students who miss more than 10% of the clinical days in a course may not be able to meet course objectives. It is the student’s responsibility to contact the appropriate instructor to determine “make- up” assignments for all absences. If a student has excess absences as defined in a particular course, the student’s status may be reviewed by the nursing faculty. The student may not be able to satisfactorily meet course objectives and may earn a failing grade.
Attendance Policy. This institution requires that a student attend a minimum of 80% of scheduled class, laboratory and other such assigned hours. Notice: For students in which English is not their primary language, an enrollment agreement is provided in the Vietnamese language.

For clarification regarding the occurrence definition; an occurrence can be recorded as a partial and/or entire workday. In an event the employee’s time-off exceeds three (3) consecutive workdays, the employee will be directed to available or applicable leave of absence or time-off options (FMLA, Medical Leave, Unpaid Leave of Absence, etc.) to determine if employee qualifies. Please refer to the separate policies within the Employee Manual and the SEIU Labor Agreement covering the other available time-off options mentioned. Furthermore, the attendance policy will be modified, and reduced to writing, to capture improvement in an employee’s attendance record. In an effort to reward improvement; if an employee’s attendance improves over a ninety (90) calendar day period, the issued discipline will not be used in a progressive manner. This means if an employee can go ninety (90) days in a calendar period without being issued discipline due to another reoccurring three (3) occurrence event within a 30-day period, they would be back to the level of discipline she/he attained originally. However, if the employee records three (3) occurrences during the ninety (90) calendar day period, progressive discipline will occur.

Students are allowed to accumulate a total of three points throughout the class (excused or unexcused). − One missed class rehearsal = 1 point. − Tardiness or an early dismissal = ½ point • After accumulating 3 points (on the 3.5 or 4th point), the student may lose material at the Director’s discretion. • Students must participate in ALL performances. Ample time is given to coordinate any travel plans or important events to not coincide with performances. There are NO exceptions! DRESS CODE • Closed-toed shoes are mandatory for the safety of your child. Open-toes shoes are not allowed at ANY time. • Students should wear non-restrictive clothing on all class rehearsal days. Students wearing skirts or dresses should have appropriate undergarments underneath for choreography and tumbling. PICK UP Parents/guardians need to make arrangements with their children for pick-up on campus. NO REFUNDS We have a strict no refund policy due to the sensitive nature of casting. There are no refunds after the first class. We employ the philosophy that there are “no small roles, only small actors” & must safeguard the learning experience accordingly. The tuition is not paying for a role or a solo; it is for an enrichment class and performing arts education experience. We encourage you & your student to adopt this philosophy. Attendance Policy. Students must give at least 24 hours notice for all cancelled lessons in order to receive credit for future or make-up lessons. Failure to do so will result in a defaulted lesson. Students will be charged the regular lesson rate for each defaulted lesson. Teachers will not be required to make up any defaulted lesson. In the event of an emergency, the lessons may be cleared of default status if a reasonable attempt to notify could not have been made. In such cases, notification must be made at the earliest possible time. Each music director will have the final word on all such determinations. If a student is late for a lesson, the teacher is under no obligation to extend the lesson beyond the normal ending time or to make up the lost time at a later date. If a teacher is late for a lesson, the teacher must either extend the ending time or make up the lost time at a later date. If a student is unable to contact the teacher to report a cancellation, the student may notify the director, if and only if he/she has attempted unsuccessfully to reach the teacher. The same policy/procedures will be in place for teacher cancellations with one exception. If the teacher gives 48 hours notice, the cancellations may be reported to the director to be relayed to the student.
