Associations. The Employee shall, in the scope of his employment, establish and maintain a reasonable number of memberships and active leadership in trade associations and organizations that facilitate knowledge, relationships, and visibility for the Company. Obligations of time, funds for fees, travel, and lodging will be pre-approved by the Vice Chairman of the Board. The Employee agrees to make all efforts to minimize cost by "bundling" these activities with other productive business meetings, or to coincide with travel requirements necessitated by other business purposes.
