Common use of Association Leave Clause in Contracts

Association Leave. 1. Association representatives shall have a total of five (5) days of paid leave to utilize for local, state, or national conferences, or for conducting other business pertinent to Association affairs. These representatives shall be excused from school duties upon two (2) days advance notification to the superintendent by the Association president. The Board shall pay the site principalexpense of the substitute for the second, fourth, and sixth Association day taken. The Association shall be responsible for the expenses of the representative(s) at such meetings. At least five (5) days’ notice will be given for the leave to the Superintendent.

These representatives shall be excused from school duties upon two (2) days advance notification written request to the superintendent by the Association president. In addition to the above six (6) days, the Association President shall be granted an additional three (3) days advance notification to of leave with the superintendent by same terms and conditions as placed on the Association president.
