Association Grievance Committee. 23.1 The Hospital recognizes the right of the Association to designate grievance Unit Representatives. The Association will furnish the Hospital with a list indicting the names of each grievance Unit Representative. Grievance Unit Representatives shall not allow their Association activities, including contract administration, to interfere with the performance of their assigned duties, or the assigned duties of other Bargaining Unit Members.
Association Grievance Committee. The Association shall establish and maintain a committee of its members for the purpose of reviewing and evaluating grievances. No grievance may be appealed from Step 2 to Step 3 without the approval of the Grievance Committee. The overall purpose of the Grievance Committee shall be: (1) to counsel employees as to the merits of particular grievances; (2) to identify disputes which are not well founded in the language of the contract and encourage the resolution of such disputes by other informal means; and (3) to conserve time and resources by approving for further appeal only those grievances which in the judgment of the Committee present substantial questions of contractual dispute. The salaries for all bargaining unit employees shall be paid in accordance with the salary schedule plan outlined in Appendix C. Effective April 1, 2016, the base salary shall be adjusted upward by 2.85% to $71,073. Effective April 1, 2017, the base salary shall be adjusted upward by 2.85% to $73,099. Effective April 1, 2018, the base salary shall be adjusted upward by 2.85% to $75,182. Effective April 1, 2019, the base salary shall be adjusted upward by 2.85% to $77,325.
Association Grievance Committee. Prior to filing any grievance, the employee(s) will submit the written complaint to the Association Grievance Committee headed by the Association President/Vice President. The grievant, with or without Association representation, shall file a written grievance with the employee’s supervisor within twenty (20) days of the occurrence of the event giving rise to the grievance or knowledge of the occurrence. The supervisor shall schedule a meeting within five (5) days of receipt of the grievance to attempt to adjust the matter. The supervisor shall respond in writing to the employee and the Association representative, if one was present, within ten (10) days of the meeting.

Said employees, or their substitutes, shall receive pay at their regular straight-time rate of pay for all hours they attend grievance meetings, including grievance arbitration, as set forth above during said employees’ scheduled work hours.

  • Union Grievance Committee (a) The Employer shall recognize a Union Grievance Committee which consists of:

  • Grievance Committee The Hospital will recognize a Grievance Committee composed of the Chief Xxxxxxx and not more than (as set out in Local Provisions Appendix) employees selected by the Union who have completed their probationary period. A general representative of the Union may be present at any meeting of the Committee. The purpose of the Committee is to deal with complaints or grievances as set out in this Collective Agreement. The Union shall keep the Hospital notified in writing of the names of the members of the Grievance Committee appointed or selected under this Article as well as the effective date of their respective appointments. A Committee member shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending grievance meetings with the Hospital up to, but not including arbitration. The number of employees on the Grievance Committee shall be determined locally.

  • Association Grievance A grievance, as defined in Section 7.1, relating to occurrences actually involving at least three (3) nurses or arising under the Association Representative article, may be initiated by the Association at Step 2 of the above-mentioned procedure by the filing of a written grievance, signed by a representative of the Association, within 35 calendar days from the date of occurrence. Such grievance shall describe the problem and the contract provisions alleged to have been violated.

  • Association Grievances If a grievance affects a group of employees or the Association, the Association may initiate and submit such grievance to the Superintendent directly, and the processing of such grievance shall commence at Step 2. Grievances involving more than one supervisor and grievances involving the administrator above the building level may be filed by the Association at Step 2.

  • Insurance Committee An Insurance Committee comprised of three (3) representatives selected by the Superintendent and three (3) representatives selected by Okeechobee County Education Association #1604 shall be established to review and make recommendations regarding the health insurance program. The Committee shall meet at least quarterly and may meet more frequently as needed. Notwithstanding the above, any anticipated changes to the hospitalization and health insurance program which would result in a program less than equivalent to the existing program shall be subject to negotiations.

  • Nurse Representatives & Grievance Committee (a) The Hospital agrees to recognize Association representatives to be elected or appointed from amongst nurses in the bargaining unit for the purpose of dealing with Association business as provided in this Collective Agreement. The number of representatives and the areas which they represent are set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions.

  • COMPLIANCE COMMITTEE (1) Within thirty (30) days of the date of this Agreement, the Board shall appoint a Compliance Committee of at least three (3) directors, of which no more than one (1) shall be an employee or controlling shareholder of the Bank or any of its affiliates (as the term “affiliate” is defined in 12 U.S.C. § 371c(b)(1)), or a family member of any such person. Upon appointment, the names of the members of the Compliance Committee and, in the event of a change of the membership, the name of any new member shall be submitted in writing to the Assistant Deputy Comptroller. The Compliance Committee shall be responsible for monitoring and coordinating the Bank's adherence to the provisions of this Agreement.

  • Safety Committee 62.1 Where a Health and Safety Committee is established on a job in accordance with section 72 of the OHS Act, it shall include the Employer’s Site Safety Supervisor and the Health and Safety Representative/s.

  • Grievance Commissioner System This is to confirm the discussion of the parties during collective bargaining that they are committed to encouraging early discussion and resolution of labour relations issues at the local level and seek to resolve grievances in a timely and cost efficient manner. To that end, this is to confirm that pursuant to Article 8, the parties agree that the Employer and Union at individual nursing homes may agree to utilize the following process in order to resolve a particular grievance through the utilization of a joint mediation-arbitration procedure:
