Association Delegate Leave. Any official delegate of the JCEA under contract to the Xxxxxxx-Xxxxxx School District shall be entitled to attend conferences as representatives of the JCEA without loss of pay, providing that such request is approved by the President and his/her designee. Except in emergency or unusual situations, as determined by the superintendent, such business leave will not be permitted on the last school day prior to or the first school day following a recess period or during parent conference days. This shall be limited to a total of ten (10) teacher days per school year. The request with reasons for absence shall be made in writing three (3) days in advance of the desired time off. No one (1) person shall be absent from his/her classroom for more than two (2) consecutive days at any one time.

Association Delegate Leave. 1. No more than three (3) delegates representing the Association shall be granted leave with pay to attend meetings of the OEA Representative Assembly. Such leave shall not exceed two (2) days per elected delegate in a school year. One day of Delegate leave may also be used by the Association President for Association purposes. In addition to the one (1) day of Delegate leave, the Association President or designated delegate may use up to two (2) additional days of paid leave from any available professional leave for Association purposes. Any expense incurred by such delegate(s) shall not be the obligation of the Board.

  • Union Delegate 32.5 Where an Employee is elected by Employees of the Employer as a Union Delegate, and the Union notifies the Employer of this election, the Employee will be classified as the higher of CW4, or the Employees usual classification. In addition, a Union Delegate is entitled to an all- purpose hourly allowance for the life of this agreement as per the table at Appendix 2 – Delegate Allowance.

  • Association Leave A total of 10 days of leave with pay during the current school year shall be granted the Association for use by the Association. A maximum of four additional days may be used for Association leave and the substitute’s salary will be reimbursed to the Board by the Association. The President of the Association will notify the Superintendent as to the educators and dates involved at least five (5) days before such leave is desired.

  • Association Dues 5.01 In every pay period, the Board shall deduct from every pay of each Occasional Teacher the appropriate amount of dues as authorized by the Constitution of the Association and directed by its Executive.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave Where an employee has exhausted all paid personal leave entitlements, they are entitled to take unpaid personal leave to care for members of their immediate family or household who are sick and require care and support or who require care due to an unexpected emergency. The employer and the employee shall agree on the period. In the absence of agreement, the employee is entitled to take up to two days (up to a maximum of 16 hours) of unpaid leave per occasion, provided the requirements of 7.2.5(a) and 7.2.5(b) are met.
