Assignment of Students. All permanent full-time and permanent part-time employees who wish to enroll their children at a school site closest to the employee's permanent assigned work location shall not be prohibited from doing so, as long as the requested student transfer does not exceed the caps, as established by Board Policy 5131 -- Student Transfers, except as deemed appropriate by the Division of Attendance Services. No student transfer shall be authorized under any circumstances that will have a negative impact on student racial ratios or which will exceed 115 percent of permanent program capacity when an administrative transfer is sought.

Assignment of Students. The parties recognize that class size and workloads can have an effect upon the educational process as well as the working conditions of employees. To the extent possible, in order to best serve all students’ needs, class assignments shall be equitable among staff and take into consideration the unique characteristics and needs of students. Considerations shall include IEP students, English Learner (EL) students, 504 students, behavior concerns, number of students in each class/section, etc.
Assignment of Students. School shall, upon mutual agreement of the parties, provide to Hospital not less than one (1) month prior to the commencement of each Student’s rotation: (i) the name of each Student and a proposed schedule of assignment to the Clinical Sites; (ii) the expected level of experience to which School proposes each Student will be assigned; (iii) the expected learning objectives of each Student; (iv) a summary of each Student’s education and clinical experience and field work; (v) a background check of the Student that is no more than one (1) year old; and (vi) such other information as Hospital may reasonably request. The period of assignment will be subject to the agreement of the Hospital, during which period such Student may be allocated among the Clinical Sites. School shall assign no more than one (1) Student, in the aggregate, to the Clinical Sites at any one time, unless the parties mutually agree otherwise. Scheduling, the level of expected experience and the degree of complexity of the activities assigned to each Student shall be subject to the approval of Hospital. School will notify Hospital of any Student absences.
Assignment of Students. In an effort to provide more effective instruction to students covered by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, (revised 1997, 2004) and to insure that no teacher is assigned a disproportionate number of protected students, the Board will strive to see that the students are assigned in an equitable manner in the elementary classrooms.
