Assessing Complexity Sample Clauses
The 'Assessing Complexity' clause defines the process and criteria for determining the complexity level of a particular task, project, or deliverable within an agreement. Typically, this clause outlines the factors to be considered—such as technical requirements, resource needs, or time constraints—and may specify who is responsible for making the assessment or how disputes over complexity are resolved. By establishing a clear method for evaluating complexity, this clause helps ensure that both parties have a shared understanding of expectations, which can affect pricing, timelines, and resource allocation, ultimately reducing misunderstandings and disputes.
Assessing Complexity. Complexity is to be addressed on an individual-by-individual basis and the criteria is divided into two categories, both of which must be evidenced for the complex rate to be considered: ▪ Features of the individual’s circumstances and the needs they present ▪ Features expected of the provider who has been identified as competent to supporting them. A standardised definition of complexity is needed to ensure transparency in decision making around agreement for this complex rate of funding. It should also be noted that: ▪ Any decision on an individual’s complexity and the complexity of the service they require will be subject to review. ▪ The decision whether an individual is Complex or Non-Complex is the responsibility of the social worker or care coordinator. ▪ The decision is to be agreed with the budget holder who will accurately record the evidence to agree or decline a request for an enhanced complex rate. ▪ Decisions about the level of funding agreed will be recorded and shared.
