Asbestos Survey Sample Clauses

Asbestos Survey. The Asbestos Survey will be conducted in accordance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) requirements and the Texas Asbestos Health Protection Rules (TAHPR). The sampling will be performed by a Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) licensed Asbestos Inspector under the direction of a TDSHS licensed Individual Asbestos Management Planner. The objective of the survey is to identify friable and non-friable ACMs in the buildings on-site. The findings of the sampling event will be presented in a survey report. If ACMs are identified, Page 1 Separation Systems Consultants, Inc. 00000 Xx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xxxxx 000 Xxxxxxx, Xxxxx 00000 Phone: (000) 000-0000 Fax: (000) 000-0000 xxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx Children’s Advocacy Center Asbestos Survey Xxxxxxxxxx County Children’s Advocacy Center 0000 Xxxxxxxxx Xxxxx Xxxx, Xxxxxxxxxx, Xxxxx 00000 SSCI Project No.: 55023 the owner will be able to use the survey report to obtain construction permits and aid the preparation of asbestos abatement specifications. Suspected ACMs to be sampled include surface materials (sprayed-on or troweled-on materials), thermal insulation materials (pipe insulation, wrapping, etc.) and miscellaneous materials (floor tiles, ceiling tiles, drywall, mastics, etc). Samples will be collected using destructive methods necessary to identify suspected ACMs. SSCI will sample only those materials which are reasonably accessible. If additional materials are discovered during the demolition process, SSCI is not accountable for any costs associated with the sampling of those materials, or project delays associated with their discovery. SSCI estimates that no more than thirty (30) samples of suspected ACMs will be collected from the interior and exterior of the on-site buildings for analysis. The samples will be collected following EPA and TAHPR protocols. The samples will be analyzed using Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) by a TDSHS-licensed laboratory and analyzed on a standard five (5) business day turnaround. Positive stop analysis will be requested at the laboratory. Positive stop analysis means that once a sample has been identified to contain greater than 1% asbestos, the subsequent samples will not be analyzed. The samples will be transported to the laboratory under chain-of-custody procedures. Friable samples reported to contain >1% but <5% asbestos can be analyzed using the Point- Count Technique (PCT). Asbestos Survey. TFC has requested Wood provide a proposal for a limited asbestos survey of suspect asbestos-containing materials (ACM) expected to be disturbed during an upcoming flooring project at the Xxxxxxx Building cafeteria. It is our understanding that the scope of work is to include replacement of flooring finishes throughout the cafeteria and associated hallways, kitchen and dining area. Wood is also providing an estimate for asbestos abatement design and on-site air monitoring, as requested by the TFC. According to the Texas Administrative Code, ACMs are materials or products including any single material component of a structure or any layer of a material sample that contain more than 1.0 percent of any kind or combination of asbestos. In order to refute the presence of asbestos within an interior and well- defined homogenous area in Texas, three samples must be collected, analyzed, and found to be non- asbestos containing material. The purpose of the asbestos survey is to provide an indication regarding the presence of ACMs that may be disturbed during the upcoming renovation project. Wood proposes to collect up to thirty (30) bulk samples from suspect asbestos-containing materials within the planned renovation areas. The bulk asbestos samples will be submitted to a National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) accredited laboratory (Omni Environmental) and analyzed using Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) coupled with dispersion staining as outlined in the EPA's "Method for the Determination of Asbestos in Bulk Building Materials (EPA-600/R-93, July 1993). The bulk samples will be analyzed on a normal 3 to 5 day turnaround time. ‘Wood’ is a trading name for Xxxx Xxxx Group PLC and its subsidiaries DocuSign Envelope ID: 25A0383F-F595-40AB-AF85-A1A64588CE53 The intent of the asbestos survey is to provide survey data that can be relied upon for renovation and/or demolition purposes in accordance with EPA or Texas regulations. The subject site must be inspected in accordance with EPA, NESHAP, or Texas Asbestos Health Protection regulations prior to renovation and/or demolition projects impacting the site. Close-out documentation submitted to TFC will include a written report detailing the scope of work, materials sampled, conditions observed, procedures used, identification of certified survey personnel, and documentation of identified asbestos-containing materials.
Asbestos Survey. The Building has been surveyed and tested for ACM. The asbestos survey is performed once annually (the "Survey"). The Survey shows that the Building contains fireproofing and other materials that are ACM. The inspection and testing has identified ACM at the Building in the following locations: (a) fireproofing on structural portions of the ceiling above the acoustical ceiling tiles; (b) sprayed-on fireproofing on the structural portions of the ceiling above the hard ceiling of the restrooms on certain floors; (c) insulation wrapped around equipment and certain portions of the plumbing; and (d) sprayed-on fireproofing on the structural portions of the ceiling above the hard ceiling and behind the walls in the stairwells on all floors. The ACM fireproofing^is generally separated from Building occupants by walls and ceilings. The Survey involved testing only a sampling of building materials and the Building may contain ACM in areas other than as specifically identified in the surveys.
Asbestos Survey. Xxxxxxxx has surveyed the Building for asbestos containing materials the results of which are attached hereto as exhibit X. Xxxxxx acknowledges the receipt of this information by the execution of this Lease.
