Articulation Agreements. Xxxx distributed copies of articulation agreements made with the Northcentral Technical College for the Accountant Associate of Applied Science and the Business Management Associate of Applied Science degrees. He explained that the accounting degree has a relatively straight forward mapping of credits from associate’s (NTC) to bachelor’s degrees. The business management associate on the other hand was free to go to any of the DBE’s eight majors. The agreements are based on "boilerplate language" used in previous articulation agreements. Equivalency of courses was discussed. Xxxx noted that a student fulfilling all the requirements at NTC and at UWS in accounting would have a total of 132 out of the required 150 hours for CPA. Xxxxxxx recommended that a similar agreement should be considered for the SMGT program. Articulation Agreements. USD BOR Policy 2:27 Program to Program Articulation Agreements establishes requirements for institutions seeking to develop program level agreements for interested transfer students. The policy further establishes the distinction between AA, AS, and AAS degrees which are classified as transferable, terminal, or non-transferable degrees (respectively). However, the AAS is “transferable when a specific degree articulation agreement exists between a given A.A.S. degree and a specific Baccalaureate degree.” Agreements established with regionally accredited institutions must be developed in conjunction with the faculty, following all institutional guidelines and are monitored as a function of the institutional program review process.
