Arlington RAPID. The City has received additional federal funding through the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Integrated Mobility Innovation (IMI) grant program. Funding will be used to implement Arlington RAPID (Rideshare, Automation, and Payment Integration Demonstration). Through Arlington RAPID, Contractor will collaborate with the City to integrate a fleet of autonomous vehicles into the current vehicle fleet, including at least one wheelchair accessible autonomous vehicle, to provide Services in a zone covering Downtown Arlington and the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) campus and provide UTA students the opportunity to ride for free. Contractor will configure the existing application to allow all riders to book autonomous vehicle trips in the proposed zone depicted in the map included herein and to allow qualified UTA students to ride the autonomous vehicles for free, if riders so choose. The map may be amended from time to time upon the written agreement between City and Contractor. Contractor will subcontract autonomous vehicles and autonomous vehicle operations to a subcontractor, May Mobility. To the extent any third party liability arises from May Mobility’s negligence, gross negligence, or willful misconduct, Contractor shall not be liable to City except to the extent such liability was caused by Contractor’s own gross negligence or willful misconduct. Contractor shall include the flow down provisions found in Exhibit “C” in its contract(s) with subcontractors. Any and all subcontractors shall be subject to all insurance and indemnification requirements included in this Contract, as modified, and Contractor shall include such insurance and indemnification requirements, specifically indemnifying City, in any subcontracts. For the avoidance of doubt, funding for the steps described herein with respect to the Arlington RAPID project will be limited to the $30,333.33 dedicated for this contract term. Contractor shall provide the following tasks and services during Year 3: • Preparation for Field Demonstration: Total $30,333.33 o Task a: Development Scoping. Via and May Mobility will create a detailed work plan to prepare for the RAPID deployment. ($15,000)

  • Caisson Rock Caisson Rock is defined as material that must be removed from a shaft which cannot be penetrated faster than two feet per hour (fifteen minute minimum) using a rock auger with bullet-shaped hardened steel teeth (Kennametal bits or equivalent), and the drilling equipment should have the capacity to produce a continuous torque of at least 1,000,000 inch pounds and a downward force of at least 50,000 pounds (a Xxxxxx LLDH in good working condition) for piers up to seventy two inches in diameter. Use of equipment with greater torque or downward force modifies the definition of refusal to be the point at which the equipment cannot penetrate faster than two feet per hour (fifteen minute minimum). In rare cases, refusal may occur on a rock seam or boulder above the general massive rock surface. The compensation for Caisson Rock should include only material that cannot be penetrated by the rock auger at the specified rate.
