Approved Submittals Clause Samples
The "Approved Submittals" clause defines the requirement that certain documents, materials, or samples must be submitted by one party—typically a contractor or supplier—for review and formal approval by another party, such as an owner or architect, before proceeding with related work. In practice, this may include shop drawings, product data, or material samples that must meet specified standards or project requirements. The core function of this clause is to ensure that all materials and methods used in a project are reviewed and authorized in advance, thereby reducing the risk of errors, non-compliance, or the use of unsuitable products.
Approved Submittals. The Government approval of submittals shall not be construed as a complete check, but will indicate only that the general method of construction, materials, detailing and other information are satisfactory. Approval will not relieve the contractor of the responsibility for any error which may exist, as the contractor under the CQC requirements of this contract is responsible for dimensions, the design of adequate connections and details, and the satisfactory construction of all work. After submittals have been approved by the Government, no resubmittal for the purpose of substituting materials or equipment will be considered unless accompanied by an explanation of why a substitution is necessary.
Approved Submittals. The Owner's approval of submittals shall not be construed as a complete check, but will indicate only that the general method of construction, materials, detailing and other information are satisfactory. Approval will not relieve the Contractor of the responsibility for any error which may exist, as the Contractor is responsible for dimensions, the design of adequate connections and details, and the satisfactory construction of all work. After submittals have been approved by the Owner, no resubmittal for the purpose of substituting materials or equipment will be considered unless accompanied by an explanation of why a substitution is necessary.
Approved Submittals. The Contracting Officer's approval of submittals is not to be construed as a complete check, and indicates only that the general method of construction, materials, detailing and other information are satisfactory. Approval will not relieve the Contractor of the responsibility for errors which may exist, as the Contractor is responsible for dimensions, the design of adequate connections and details, and the satisfactory construction of the work. After submittals have been approved by the Contracting Officer, no resubmittal for the purpose of substituting materials or equipment will be considered unless accompanied by an explanation of why a substitution is necessary.
Approved Submittals. The part of the work covered by the approved item submittal may proceed provided it complies with the requirements of the contract documents. Final acceptance will depend upon that compliance. The term “Approved” shall only indicate that there is no exception taken to the submittal. Approval of the item submittal shall not be construed as a complete check, and indicates only that the general method or other information appears to meet the contract requirements. Approval does not relieve the Contractor of the responsibility for any error which may exist. After item submittals have been approved by the Contracting Officer, no resubmittal for the purpose of substituting materials or equipment, or changes to any other information will be considered unless accompanied by an explanation of why a substitution or change is necessary.
