Appointments Committee. Each Unit with responsibilities for the Appointments of Members shall have an Appointments Committee that shall, with the exception of the chair, be elected annually. In this Article, Unit refers to a Department, School, Centre or Faculty with responsibilities for the Appointments of Members, and references to the heads of such Units are given as Chair (Director or ▇▇▇▇).
Appointments Committee. With the exception of the chair position, Members shall elect an Appointments Committee annually by July 1.
Appointments Committee. 5.3.1.1 By June 1 of each year, each Department shall elect a standing Appointments Committee. The Committee shall consist of: (a) a minimum of five (5) tenured Members of the Department. In order to form a representative committee, departments may invite as needed, representatives from cognate Departments or other departmental members to serve on the committee. One of the departmental Members shall be elected to be voting chair of the committee; (b) the Chair of the Department; and (c) one (1) undergraduate or graduate student in the Department, if applicable; and (d) one (1) representative from a Professional body, if applicable.
Appointments Committee. The membership of the Appointments Committee shall consist of non-executive Directors of the Company, at least two of whom shall be Non-Industry Directors plus any persons co-opted pursuant to Articles 58 and 89. The Appointments Committee shall consist of not less than three non-executive Directors. The Appointments Committee shall consider and make recommendations to the Board on the appointment of all Directors of the Company (other than those appointed pursuant to clauses 4.2.1 and 4.2.2) and all senior employees of the Company who will not be Directors identified by the Board from time to time and including any employee whose annual base salary (excluding employer pension contributions, bonuses, travel expenses, car allowances and other benefits in kind) will be in excess of £120,000 per annum or such higher amount as may be proposed by the Appointments Committee and approved by the Board from time to time.
Appointments Committee. In the event that a governance of any particular Faculty does not contain established procedures to carry out provisions of paragraphs A. and B. of this Article and it is necessary to fill a full-time Faculty vacancy of a position in the bargaining unit, then until such time as that particular Faculty adopts such procedures in accordance with the terms of its governance, as applicable, a ▇▇▇▇ shall call for an election by bargaining unit members to establish an "Appointments Committee" of bargaining unit members to carry out the provi- sions of these two paragraphs. The ▇▇▇▇ shall not serve as a member of the Appointments Committee or participate in its deliberations. Appointments Committee recommendations shall be made to the appropriate ▇▇▇▇ in a reasonable and timely fashion as prescribed by that ▇▇▇▇.
Appointments Committee. 25.5.1 An Appointments Committee shall be established in each Unit no later than May 1 in each year as follows:‌ (a) The Appointments Committee may be the standing Renewal, Tenure/Continuing Appointment and Promotion (RTP/RCP) Committee as established by Article 30 or Article 31, or may be constituted separately by a separate election. In either case, student representatives may be members of the Appointments Committee. The Appointments Committee shall be chaired by the Unit Head or his/her respective designate. Units that are too small to form representative committees (fewer than three (3) Members) should invite representatives from related Units to serve as members;‌ (b) W hen a search is to be conducted to fill a joint appointment, the Appointments Committee shall be constituted in accordance with Article 25.5.1 (a), with the (c) W hen a search is to be conducted to fill a joint appointment to be hosted by an identified primary Unit and another Unit, the identity of which depends on the disciplinary expertise of the successful candidate, a composite Appointments Committee shall be constituted as follows: three elected Members shall be drawn from the primary Unit; an additional Member shall be elected by each of the potential partner Units. The Unit Head (or designate) of the primary Unit shall serve as Chair of the Committee;‌ (d) W hen a search is to be conducted to fill an interdisciplinary appointment (such as an appointment that is to be connected with an established interdisciplinary research group) and the eventual appointee’s home Unit cannot be identified at the time, the members of a composite Appointments Committee shall be elected by and from among the Members of the interdisciplinary group. An additional member may be elected to the Committee by each of the Units that are most likely to host the appointment. The Committee shall elect its own Chair.‌ 25.5.2 For all Appointments Committees under Article 25.5:‌ (a) The Chair shall be a voting member of the Appointments Committee.
Appointments Committee. An Appointments Committee shall consist of all the continuing members (i.e., members with tenure or holding appointments under 6.01b) of the Department in which the vacancy exists, the ▇▇▇▇ of the appropriate Division or School, two other individuals and the department's voting representative from the contract faculty. If the number of continuing members in the Department is less than three, the appropriate Division or School shall nominate sufficient members to the Committee so that it contains three members, the ▇▇▇▇ of the appropriate Division or School, the department's voting representative from the contract faculty, two students (non-voting). All Members on the Appointments Committee are required to complete the latest training offered by the University on Equity.

To safeguard the interests and rights of the Parties involved, all written records and minutes of meetings, conferences, understandings, agreements and actions and any other discussions, shall be kept in confidence and collected by the Chair of the Appointments Committee and forwarded to Human Resources. 5.3.1.4 The employer shall conduct an annual interview procedures and skills workshop for Appointments Committee members prior to September 1, to which the Faculty Association will be invited. Members of all Appointment Committees shall attend the workshop prior to the first meeting of the committee. 5.3.1.5 The term of the Appointments Committee shall be from September 1 to August 31.
