Appointments Committee. 7. With the exception of the chair position, Members shall elect an Appointments Committee annually by July 1.
Appointments Committee. The membership of the Appointments Committee shall consist of non-executive Directors of the Company, at least two of whom shall be Non-Industry Directors plus any persons co-opted pursuant to Articles 58 and 89. The Appointments Committee shall consider all Open Appointments (as defined in Clause of this Article) and all Limited-Term, Externally-Fundedand Visiting Appointments that have been approved by the Employer; as part of this process the Appointments Committee shall invite, and take into consideration, comments and opinions on Open Appointments from all Members in the Unit, paying particular attention to the views of those Unit Members whose disciplinary area of expertise coincides, or significantly overlaps, with that of the Appointments. The Committee's responsibilityshall include the drafting and approval of the advertisement for each position. Requirements for advertisement of a Limited-Term Appointment may be suspended at the request of the Appointments Committee through the Xxxx and at the discretion of the Xxxxxxx when considering the appointment of a of a successful candidate for a Probationary or Tenured Appointment. If the number of continuing members in the Department is less than three, the appropriate Division or School shall nominate sufficient members to the Committee so that it contains three members, the Xxxx of the appropriate Division or School, the department's voting representative from the contract faculty, two students (non-voting).
