Animal Subjects. 1. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society adheres to the most current guidelines applicable to the care and treatment of animals used in laboratory work as outlined by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The Grantee, Sponsor, and Sponsoring Institution acknowledge that the statement in the Application to LLS concerning the use of laboratory animals meets and adheres to these guidelines; an accompanying letter by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, or equivalent institutional body, must be provided. Those projects which do not involve the use of laboratory animals must so state.

Animal Subjects. To the extent applicable, in all cases in which activities involving animal subjects are planned, Borrower must abide by all applicable federal and state rules and regulations governing studies of animal subjects at the participating organizations. If the Project contemplates activities involving animal subjects, Borrower certifies that Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) approval for this Project is current (within three years of the Effective Date of this Agreement). IACUC approval shall be renewed every three years the Project is active. Any modifications in the Program Plan section of the Proposal must be approved by the IACUC. Borrower certifies that its animal subject policies and procedures comply with the US Code Title 7, §§ 2131-2156, inclusive.

Those research projects that do not involve the use of laboratory animals must so state in the Application. If the animal use privileges of Sponsoring Institution and/or Grantee are suspended, then LLS must be notified within ten (10) business days of the suspension. LLS will take whatever action it deems appropriate, including suspension or termination of this Agreement. Failure to notify LLS of non-compliance with the guidelines on the use of laboratory animals will result in suspension or termination of this Agreement.
Animal Subjects. The recipient agrees to comply with the Animal Welfare Act of 1966 (P.L. 89-544), as amended, 7 USC 2131- 2156. Recipient also agrees to abide by the “U.S. Government Principles for the Utilization and Care of Vertebrate Animals used in Testing, Research, and Training.” (Federal Register 50(97): 20864-20865.   • Infectious Diseases The Employer and the Union desire to arrest the spread of infectious diseases in the nursing home. To achieve this objective, the Joint Health and Safety Committee may review and offer input into infection control programs and protocols including surveillance, outbreak control, isolation, precautions, worker education and training, and personal protective equipment. The Employer will provide training and ongoing education in communicable disease recognition, use of personal protective equipment, decontamination of equipment, and disposal of hazardous waste.

  • Chemical Substances Supplier warrants that: (i) each chemical substance contained in Products is on the inventory of chemical substances compiled and published by the Environmental Protection Agency pursuant to the Toxic Substances Control Act and (ii) all Material Safety Data Sheets required to be provided by Supplier for Products shall be provided to DXC prior to shipment of the Products and shall be complete and accurate.

  • Environmental Measures (i) The Contractor agrees to conduct its activities in connection with the Agreement in such a manner so as to comply with the environmental requirements which includes, inter alia, all the conditions required to be satisfied under the environmental clearances and applicable law, and assumes full responsibility for measures which are required to be taken to ensure such compliance.

  • Diagnosis For a condition to be considered a covered illness or disorder, copies of laboratory tests results, X-rays, or any other report or result of clinical examinations on which the diagnosis was based, are required as part of the positive diagnosis by a physician.

  • Physical/Occupational Therapy This plan covers physical and occupational therapy when: • ordered by a physician; • received from a licensed physical or occupational therapist; • a program is implemented to provide habilitative or rehabilitative services. See Autism Services when physical therapy and occupational therapy services are rendered as part of the treatment of autism spectrum disorder. The amount you pay and any benefit limit will be the same whether the services are provided for habilitative or rehabilitative purposes.

  • Development of the Property Except as modified by this Agreement, the Development and the Property will be developed in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including but not limited to the City’s ordinances and the zoning regulations applicable to the Property, and such amendments to City ordinances and regulations that that may be applied to the Development and the Property under Chapter 245, Texas Local Government Code, and good engineering practices (the “Applicable Regulations”). If there is a conflict between the Applicable Regulations and the Development Standards, the Development Standards shall control.

  • Human Leukocyte Antigen Testing This plan covers human leukocyte antigen testing for A, B, and DR antigens once per member per lifetime to establish a member’s bone marrow transplantation donor suitability in accordance with R.I. General Law §27-20-36. The testing must be performed in a facility that is: • accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks or its successors; and • licensed under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act as it may be amended from time to time. At the time of testing, the person being tested must complete and sign an informed consent form that also authorizes the results of the test to be used for participation in the National Marrow Donor program.
