Amendment to Correct Scrivener’s Error Clause Samples
An Amendment to Correct Scrivener’s Error clause allows the parties to modify the contract to fix unintentional clerical mistakes, such as typographical errors, misnumbered sections, or incorrect dates, that do not reflect the parties’ true intentions. This clause typically outlines a process for identifying and formally amending such errors, often requiring mutual agreement or written confirmation from both parties. Its core function is to ensure the contract accurately represents the agreed terms, thereby preventing disputes or confusion arising from minor drafting mistakes.
