AM Sunday. Employees may be required to work in excess of their normal workweek. Employees who are in on-call status, must maintain and submit a legitimate telephone number to their supervisor. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action. The City may adjust work day increments and starting and ending times as City business needs require, consistent with Article 6, Management Rights, Sections 2(h), (i) and (j).

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has certified UPEC as ABona Fide@ for a 7(b) exception under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) for a "basis other than 40 hours in 7 days" for overtime computation. The County will reconcile actual hours worked against the requirements of the FLSA on an annual (2080 hours) basis. This allows for overtime period as cited in certain sections below.
