Allied Health Professional. A person or entity other than a Hospital, Doctor of Medicine, or Doctor of Osteopathy who is licensed by the appropriate state agency, where required, or approved by Us to give Covered Services. For this Plan, Allied Health Professional includes dentists, psychologists, certified nurse practitioners, optometrists, pharmacists, chiropractors, podiatrists, Physician’s assistants, registered nurse first assistants, advanced practice registered nurses, licensed professional counselors, licensed clinical social workers, certified registered nurse anesthetists, and any other health professional as state law mandates for specified services, if We approve them to give Covered Services.

Allied Health Professional. A licensed or New York State authorized provider of healthcare that is not a Physician.
Allied Health Professional. Multi-disciplinary Team Coordinator (MTC) 8.1 Within 3 months of signing this Agreement, the parties commit to a proper work value evaluation of the MTC role to determine where this role appropriately sits within the Allied Health classification structure and corresponding wages level. Through this process, the agreed classification structure and generic level statements will be developed and subsequently applied for the MTC role going forward. 8.2 This classification review will be conducted in accordance with Schedule 2, clause 5.0 of this Agreement. The parties may utilise the dispute settlement procedures outlined in clause 3.1 if they cannot reach agreement on the work value review.
Allied Health Professional. Level 1 (Graduate) 2.1 This is an entry level health professional covering the initial years of experience following completion of tertiary professional qualifications. 2.2 New graduates and those in the early stages of their career as an Allied Health Professional who meet the requirement to practise as a health professional (recognised through current Registration or eligibility for membership of the applicable professional association) would commence at this level. 2.3 An allied health professional at this level:  Requires regular, formal discipline-specific supervision sessions with a senior clinician. Supervision should be both direct and indirect, depending on the workplace and client scenarios that are encountered. It is anticipated that the frequency and intensity of supervision will decrease as the clinician’s experience increases.  May be requested by senior clinicians and managers to provide feedback on guidelines, policies and procedures applicable to their clinical/professional work.  May be involved in supervision tasks and activities with students and allied health assistants. However, at this level professionals would not be required to be the designated supervisor. 2.4 Prior to progressing to Xxxxx 0, employees will be required to provide evidence of ongoing and relevant professional development, a record of positive performance appraisals as undertaken in line with Organisational practice amended from time to time and be recommended through written support by Service Area Manager and where appropriate Allied Health Team Leader.
Allied Health Professional. Level 2 (Senior) 3.1 A health professional at this level works independently and is required to exercise professional judgment on typical matters as relevant to their workplace and client characteristics. 3.2 An allied health professional at this level: • Is expected to appropriately address the majority of the clinical issues that are encountered in an autonomous and independent manner; • May require peer support and / or professional supervision from more senior members of the profession or health team when complex, or atypical tasks are identified, as relevant to their workplace and emerging client needs; • May be required to provide direct and indirect supervision and discipline- specific support to graduate level clinicians, students and allied health assistants; • Contributes to the evaluation and analysis of guidelines, policies and procedures applicable to their clinical/professional work; • Takes a lead role in embedding evidence-based information into clinical services. 3.3 A health professional at this level may be a sole practitioner in a metropolitan, regional or rural setting who practices in professional isolation from health professionals from the same discipline.
Allied Health Professional. Level 3 Team Leader 7.1 In addition to the skills, knowledge and experience to be able to perform clinically in a Focussed Area of Practice or Advanced stream, a health professional would be appointed on merit as an Allied Health Team Leader by Anglicare SQ and be responsible for three (3) or more Allied Health Professionals from a range of disciplines in addition to any Allied Health Assistants. 7.2 An allied health professional working at this level:  Provides effective operational management and professional leadership for the Allied Health team members, including Allied Health Assistants, across the service area;  Is accountable for allocation and/or expenditure of resources and ensuring targets are met in conjunction with the Service Area Manager;  Will undertake or contribute towards providing regular feedback and appraisals for senior, advanced and specialist clinical staff to improve outcomes for clients, including maintenance of a performance management system; and  Is responsible for providing support for efficient, cost effective and timely delivery of services. 7.3 The incumbent must maintain some clinical case load associated with their discipline.
Allied Health Professional. A Grade 1 Allied Health Professional works under the general direction and support of more experienced Health Professionals, which may include but are not limited to Grade 2, 3 or 4 Allied Health Professionals, who may not always be working at the health facility. Work is initially performed with professional support by a more experienced professionals, however, this support is expected to reduce as post-graduation experience increases. An experienced Grade 1 Allied Health Professional can contribute to outcomes requiring multi-disciplinary team input and assist with complex problem solving either independently or under the guidance of more experienced Allied Health Professionals if required. This may require the exercise of professional judgment through the selection and application of procedures, methods and standards, and may be supported by guidance from experienced professionals. Employees at this level may operate individually or as a member of a multi-disciplinary team within a work area. Positions at this level generally have no supervisory responsibilities other than with assistant allied health employees. Grade 1 Allied Health Professionals may be required to perform clinical education duties in relation to students of their discipline, with the assistance of more experienced Professionals when required. Such duties include responsibility for feedback and assessment of students in line with university requirements. Duties and skills: (i) Positions at this level may involve an Employee performing a range of activities including the analysis and interpretation of findings as they relate to the elements of the work. They could also include the preparation of reports incorporating recommendations on basic operations, and specific client or service outcome reports.

Allied Health Professional. To the extent that the physician utilizes any Allied Health Professional in his or her practice, the Physician represents and warrants to the PHO that said Allied Health Professionals are licensed and/or certified as required by law, that they will not engage in any activity that goes beyond the scope of their license or certification, and that they are competent to perform their duties. The Allied Health Professionals must have a Collaborative Agreement with an FPHO physician, and perform their functions within the scope of their Collaborative Agreement. The Physician shall cooperate with the PHO and Payors with respect to credentialing Allied Health Professionals. The Physician shall remain responsible for the acts and omissions of any Allied Health Professionals employed by the Physician or performing services within the Physician’s practice and shall indemnify and hold the PHO harmless for any liability arising out of the same.

  • Extended Health Care The Hospital shall contribute on behalf of each eligible employee seventy-five percent (75%) of the billed premium under the Extended Health Care Plan (Liberty Health $15-25 deductible plan including hearing aids with a maximum of $300.00 per person and vision care with a maximum of $150.00 every 24 months per person, or its equivalent) provided the balance of the monthly premium is paid by employees through payroll deduction. Any Hospital currently paying more than 75% of the premium shall continue to do so. The drug formulary shall be as defined by Liberty Health Formulary Three.

  • Extended Health Plan An employee who makes an election under this provision must enrol in each and every of the benefit plans and shall not be entitled to except any of them.

  • Extended Health Care Plan ‌ The Employer shall pay the monthly premium for regular employees entitled to coverage under a mutually acceptable extended health care plan.

  • Health Promotion and Health Education Both parties to this Agreement recognize the value and importance of health promotion and health education programs. Such programs can assist employees and their dependents to maintain and enhance their health, and to make appropriate use of the health care system. To work toward these goals:

  • HEALTH PROGRAM 3701 Health examinations required by the Employer shall be provided by the Employer and shall be at the expense of the Employer. 3702 Time off without loss of regular pay shall be allowed at a time determined by the Employer for such medical examinations and laboratory tests, provided that these are performed on the Employer’s premises, or at a facility designated by the Employer. 3703 With the approval of the Employer, a nurse may choose to be examined by a physician of her/his own choice, at her/his own expense, as long as the Employer receives a statement as to the fitness of the nurse from the physician. 3704 Time off for medical and dental examinations and/or treatments may be granted and such time off, including necessary travel time, shall be chargeable against accumulated income protection benefits.

  • Clinical Management for Behavioral Health Services (CMBHS) System 1. request access to CMBHS via the CMBHS Helpline at (000) 000-0000. 2. use the CMBHS time frames specified by System Agency. 3. use System Agency-specified functionality of the CMBHS in its entirety. 4. submit all bills and reports to System Agency through the CMBHS, unless otherwise instructed.

  • Home Health Care This plan covers the following home care services when provided by a certified home healthcare agency: • nursing services; • services of a home health aide; • visits from a social worker; • medical supplies; and • physical, occupational and speech therapy.

  • Extended Health Fifty percent (50%) of the billed premium towards coverage of eligible nurses in the active employ for the Extended Health Care Benefits as provided under the VON National Group Insurance Plan, provided that the balance of the premium is paid by each nurse through payroll deductions.

  • Extended Health Care Benefits The City will provide for all employees by contract through an insurer selected by the City an Extended Health Care Plan which will provide extended health care benefits. The City shall pay one hundred per cent (100%) of the premiums, which will include any premiums payable under The Health Insurance Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended.

  • Behavioral Health Services Behavioral health services include the evaluation, management, and treatment for a mental health or substance use disorder condition. For the purpose of this plan, substance use disorder does not include addiction to or abuse of tobacco and/or caffeine. Mental health or substance use disorders are those that are listed in the most updated volume of either: • the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) published by the American Psychiatric Association; or • the International Classification of Disease Manual (ICD) published by the World Health Organization. This plan provides parity in benefits for behavioral healthcare services. Please see Section 10 for additional information regarding behavioral healthcare parity. This plan covers behavioral health services if you are inpatient at a general or specialty hospital. See Inpatient Services in Section 3 for additional information. This plan covers services at behavioral health residential treatment facilities, which provide: • clinical treatment; • medication evaluation management; and • 24-hour on site availability of health professional staff, as required by licensing regulations. This plan covers intermediate care services, which are facility-based programs that are: • more intensive than traditional outpatient services; • less intensive than 24-hour inpatient hospital or residential treatment facility services; and • used as a step down from a higher level of care; or • used a step-up from standard care level of care. Intermediate care services include the following: • Partial Hospital Program (PHP) – PHPs are structured and medically supervised day, evening, or nighttime treatment programs providing individualized treatment plans. A PHP typically runs for five hours a day, five days per week. • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) – An IOP provides substantial clinical support for patients who are either in transition from a higher level of care or at risk for admission to a higher level of care. An IOP typically runs for three hours per day, three days per week.
