Common use of All Claimants Clause in Contracts

All Claimants. For the purposes of the above, earnings shall mean basic monthly earnings as at the date of disability. Basic monthly earnings for regular part-time employees shall be calculated on the basis of the employee’s average monthly hours of work for the twelve-month period or such shorter period that the employee has been employed, prior to the date of disability, multiplied by their hourly pay rate as at the date of disability. The long-term disability benefit payment shall be made so long as an employee remains totally disabled and shall cease on the date the employee reaches age sixty-five (65), recovers, dies, or the effective date of early retirement under this plan, whichever occurs first.
