Aims of Service. To meet the requirements of the Allenton Big Local Plan for the period April 2017 to March 2019 under Priority 3 – Creating opportunities for training and employment - Reducing Barriers. To meet the aim within this priority to:  Improve work related skills  Improve opportunities for employment Reducing Barriers The barriers that are faced by job seekers in the Big Local Allenton area include:  Access to computersAccess to information about job opportunitiesLack of skills in using the Internet based Universal Job Match  Cost of travel to the Derby city centre to do job search activities  Isolation  Lack of confidence  Access to careers information advice and guidance DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE To provide a Job Club for 5 hours each week based at Xxxxx Park Centre, Xxxxx Street, Allenton for residents within the Allenton Big Local area. The proposed hours for delivery are on Mondays, with the club operating for 45 weeks each year. The job club will be open to any Allenton resident aged 16 years and above who is seeking work regardless of their current employment status. The Job Club will reduce barriers to employment through the provision of:  Free access to computers, telephones and stationery.  Training in the use of Universal Job Match using the 220Soft Universal Job Match training programme.  Coaching and support for individual job search.  Evidence of job search activity to meet Job Centre Plus requirements for those claiming Job Seekers Allowance.  Opportunity to meet other job seekers.  Links to Allenton Library to enable jobseekers to use library facilities for independent job search.  Referrals to National Careers Service for on-site individual careers information advice and guidance (at no cost to Big Local Allenton).  Information and referrals to other employability programmes delivered by Derby Adult Learning Service, Derby College, Derbyshire Learning and Development Consortium and others.  Progression to further opportunities including workshops, training courses, further education and work experience placements. The job club will complement other job clubs in other localities including Alvaston Library, OSCAR, and Derby Multicultural Centre. Job seekers will be able to attend more than one club. TIMESCALES This agreement covers the 24 month period from April 2017. This agreement relates to the Work Club already established at Xxxxx Park Centre. Aims of Service. The contract shall provide a community meal delivery service that the West Wimmera Shire Council’s Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), and Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC PYP) clients with a consistently high quality meal in terms of taste, appearance, temperature, nutrient composition and microbiological safety, and which is relevant to the age and dietary requirements of the client. The meal will be delivered to them in their own homes so that they remain in the community environment for longer that would otherwise have been possible.
Aims of Service. To provide a regular stay and play session, on a weekly basis in the school holidays. The session will run between 10.00am – 1.00pm and will provide a range of craft activities as well as toys and games, with the aim of encouraging children to play together as well as sharing activities with their parent or carer. Healthy snacks as well as lunch bags will be provide for each child. The sessions will also provide an opportunity for parents and carers to meet up in a social situation combating social isolation often experienced during school holidays. As the activities and food will be provided free of charge the aim is to combat holiday hunger, food poverty, boredom and social isolation.

To support staff in assessing Young carers. Deliver assemblies and training sessions where required within the 4 schools. To support Young carers in accessing social activities/clubs within school or local community. To support families of Young Carers identified. To possibly offer a social activity for some Young Carers each half term.
Aims of Service. Guidemark Publishing to work with Xxxxxxx Academy to provide training and oversee delivery of the communications and marketing strategy for Allenton Big Local. To promote good news stories using the full range of communication channels available to celebrate success and encourage local participation and engagement with the project.
