AFL Standard Playing Contract Clause Samples

The AFL Standard Playing Contract is a formal agreement that outlines the terms and conditions of employment between an Australian Football League (AFL) club and its player. It specifies key aspects such as salary, duration of the contract, player obligations, and club responsibilities, ensuring both parties understand their rights and duties. For example, it may detail training requirements, match participation, and procedures for contract termination or dispute resolution. The core function of this contract is to provide a clear, consistent framework that governs the professional relationship between players and clubs, thereby reducing misunderstandings and protecting the interests of both sides.
